Manned Guarding Bid Writer / Manager City of London

Our client is one of the leading suppliers of Security solutions across the public and private sector in the UK. Due to business demand they are now looking for an experienced + creative Bid Writer/Manager. Your primary objective will be to deliver security related bids to A* standards to clients into the different vertical markets in which they operate such as Public Sector, FM, Corporate, Defence, Aviation etc.

What are they asking for?

  • A creative Bid Writer who has full knowledge in the techniques and methods of tender writing and can tailor tenders to specific client needs and expectations.

  • Alternatively, you are working in a bid support role looking to step into a fully-fledged bid role.

  • You need to have worked in a Bid/related role previously

  • Experience of FM/Security is desirable but, not essential.

  • You will be skilled in building/maintaining internal relationships and managing Client relationships.

  • To succeed you have already demonstrated the following skills:

  • Ability to write responses for PQQ’s and tenders and research and produce relevant information Familiarity with the use of on-line tendering portals an advantage

  • Strong and persuasive writing style to be able to sell on paper + creative thinking and writing skills

  • Excellent attention to detail, proof reading and research skills

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence others at all levels

  • able to interpret complex information and present to the audience in a simplified and informative way

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Sales Team in the delivery of high quality pre-qualification and tender proposals.

  • liaise with others within the business; predominantly department heads to gather information, ensuring responses are received in line with strict deadlines.

  • Creation + design of documents, to respond to Requests for Information (RFI’s), PQQ’s and Invitations to Tender (ITT’s), + the preparation of supporting information such as site specific work documents and presentations, to ensure a continuous look and image is presented to the client.

  • Delivery of Tenders, Pre-qualifications and Presentations, working closely senior management team

  • Identify and re-work existing pre-written content where relevant

  • Take part in the initial “kick off” meeting to discuss the RFI/RFP

  • To ensure all RFI/RFP’s responses are proof read and sense checked for accuracy.
