The Vacancy:
An established and growing top independent Fire Alarm, Structured Data Cabling and Security business are looking for an experienced Fire Commissioning Engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company at the forefront of their technology, supplying bespoke Fire Alarm, Data & Security systems.
Primarily, you will be based out of their London offices however, you will be expected to travel to other site locations to suit the needs of the business - most projects are based in London or within the M25 and vary in value from £50k to £750k and are for Main or Electrical contractors.

Basic of £30 - £35k per annum

What are they asking for?
You will be an experienced Fire Commissioning Engineer, comfortable with commuting into London everyday and possess a valid CSCS or ECS card (if not in possession of one of these already, you will be required to achieve a skills related ECS card to be considered). It’s a given that you will be personable and credible in dealings with clients and fellow engineers alike; Good written and communication skills are a must as is the ability to adapt to different size projects and a strong knowledge of Fire Alarms and the ability to commission high end Fire Systems
Responsibilities:

Provide commissioning expertise and the appropriate level of quality required by the customer.

Participate in continuous improvement of the business processes.

Plan resource requirements at project level.

To achieve profitable operation in commissioning at project level.

To provide cost effective system commissioning and ICA engineering.

Commissioning projects within budget allowed.

To operate business processes within the framework of an ISO9000:2000 and TickIT certified Quality Management System.

To assure effective documentation of the commissioning process, including commissioning data and as built documentation, input to O&Ms and feedback to the design disciplines.

Recognise the importance of satisfying the customer as the key to achieving other objectives.

To continue to develop personally and technically.

Participate in the acquisition and storing of business and technical knowledge, and the use of those stored intellectual assets.

Maintain Health and Safety levels during the commissioning activities and report safety issues responsibly and participate in improving practice.

Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required, and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role
