Job Description
Due to a recent award of contracts along with existing projects; our client a leading Construction/Logistics and FM business is looking to strengthen the Health & Safety department with an experienced Manager to oversee an existing team and their continued growth within the sectors.
Key Essentials:
* As Head of Health & Safety you will be required to provide competent advice and guidance on the management of various projects
* Your role will involve liaising and supporting Operational, Management and Health & Safety Advisors within the division to meet the contract and business needs and objectives
* You will be required to ensure continued maintenance and compliance of OHSAS 18001
* Your role will involve providing specialist assistance with Risk Assessment and Risk Management
* You will need to ensure that the Division Safety Management System is fit for purpose
* Your role will involve leading the investigation of Major incidents and providing expert advice on root causes whilst monitoring on the close out of all reports and audit findings in a timely manner
* You will be required to ensure that resources are available including appropriate documentation and training whilst helping to develop improved techniques for the control of the Environment and Safety
* You will be responsible for providing monthly and annual reports on the performance of the division
Requirements:
* You should be qualified with a Diploma in Health & Safety (or equivalent)
* You should have a minimum of 5 years’ Health & Safety managerial experience
* You should be an excellent communicator with meticulous attention to detail
Majority of the work in the South East but, National travel is required.
* This is an excellent position that offers a salary of up to £60,000 + Car + Package
