Sales experience selling into the Property Management sector required.
Palmer McCarthy has been retained by a fast-growing market disruptor + provider of security and building management systems to the property management sector (including manned guarding, security systems and integrated Building Management Systems) to recruit a new Head of Sales (Corporate) working out of their St Albans office but targeting the property management market (mainly South-East). Reporting into an experienced Sales Director along with a supportive and sales orientated SMT
Their pitch into the market is different to traditional competitor propositions and therefore we are seeking a business development professional that has experience relationships with the property sector. This could be from a manned guarding perspective but an awareness of the wider building management process/ ideally some oversight of systems would be beneficial. The priority however is the sector knowledge and relationships. The CBREs, JLLs, the Cushmans, BNP, Savills etc.
This is a dynamic, entrepreneurial business. It enters the market with a strong pedigree of disruptive technology solutions that don’t fit comfortably into the usual boxes of tech versus guarding. They have a range of solutions, all with strengths in key deliverables that come together, given the right pitch, the right modelling and the right conversations with building owners, managers and users to deliver smart, green, exciting building solutions.
Senior level conversations, not the usual security director inroad, will generate interest that steps aside from the traditional like for like security service. The value proposition will differentiate their building in a way that ‘competitors’ cannot. They are determined + energetic and need an individual that can cut through tradition, open up high level conversations and deliver compelling sales propositions.
This pitch is finding resonance with a number of senior contacts within existing and new customers. It is gaining traction and market response. They now need a sales specialist to take this to the next level.
You will manage a small team of BDMs whilst targeting and selling to your own identified opportunities.

What are they asking for?
This person will be required to manage the team in terms of activity KPIs along with monitoring progress in generating and following through leads therefore you will need to understand the lead generation process in the corporate sector.
There is an appetite to approach the market with a more energized level of vigour than the traditional model. They are not simply waiting for tender lists + timelines but are actively disrupting this process by getting to decision makers with a differentiating value proposition. Therefore, any candidate must expect that this isn’t the normal manned guarding job and can’t be approached in this way.
