A national leading name in the provision of Security Systems (rapid deployment) and services are seeking an experience Operations Director to take an active role in the next period of exciting growth as they seek to treble turnover in the next 5 years.
The purpose of the role is to develop strategies and lead operations assisting in the growth of turnover and profits. The scope of the role is broad and its purpose will be to lead and manage all issues relating to the business and to be fully responsible for commercial and operational aspects, the quality of service to all customers and staff whilst ensuring financial and sales growth.

What are they asking for?
An experience Operations professional who has managed across the broad scope of Operations, Service Delivery, Health + Safety and Stock Management.
Operational management experience in a corporate technical environment. Ideally you will come from a CCTV Operations background- any familiarity with temporary camera solutions and rapid deployment towers would be beneficial. However, a background in high value plant hire could be very relevant.
In interview you will be able to demonstrate an ability to understand financial performance and the factors that influence it. It’s a given that have the relationship management and interpersonal skills to establish and retain effective working relationships with clients and peers
Responsibilities will include:

Responsibility for all direct/indirect operational monitoring and administration staff

Executive responsibility for P&L
-
Work closely with the Group CEO and Sales Director on all related activities including financial performance, sales growth, national customers and inter-company benchmarking

To set and ensure budget profit targets are met

Ensure that labour productivity, tower activity and other operational ratios exceed budgeted levels
-
Ensure team have received adequate training
-
Povide leadership, support and advice on sales activities

Embed a culture of continuous improvement, whilst ensuring team are fully engaged

Ensure that highest standards of Health & Safety are achieved

To engage with customers and ensure service delivery is of an extremely high standard

To plan and carryout day to day management of the business: to maintain and develop the needs of an agreed business plan.

To develop account strategies to retain and grow existing accounts.

To accompany sales teams to sales meetings with prospective clients either leading the discussion or supporting the sales team to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved.

To provide the central bid team and branch management with assistance and support on RFI’s RFP’s tenders and proposals advising on pricing, competitor positioning or bid strategy as appropriate

To ensure that tower stock and engineering stock are tracked and maintained at the right levels to support the rental fleet.
