Job Description

Our client is a market leader in the provision of security and maintenance services to empty properties. (mainly via an innovative solution of protection by occupation: Property Guardians)) They are now seeking a well organised Property Inspector

This is a business critical role that is the backbone of the company’s service delivery. The Property Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all properties under management are managed effectively, are maintained to a high standards of safety, security and hygiene as practicable. Balancing a workload with a wide scope, across varied locations.

What are they asking for?

You will be able to demonstrate an ability to interpret, advise of and implement company procedures in a consistent manner

 

You must have a full driving licence with good written and verbal communication skills- with the ability quickly establish relationships at all levels. You will often be the “face” of the company when visiting properties- you will be able to deal with any issues in a friendly manner.

 

You will be writing reports on the state of properties and therefore a sense of urgency is required if there are any major issues to report and you will be able to prioritise these.

 

An ability to work unsupervised is critical as is a huge amount of common sense. (e.g devising an efficient route for list of properties to be attended that day). You will be able to quickly understand how to put together risk of fire assessments, learn to identify what maintenance/repairs are required and then advise the relevant teams.

 

Any knowledge of dealing with property maintenance issues would be advantageous However other successful candidates have come from backgrounds in delivery driving, mobile response and security officer work.

Responsibilities will include:

Monthly inspections of properties including meter readings

Completes inspection reports + Reports to the Property Services Coordinator for property issues

Install Fire Packs

Completes relevant paperwork (Works completion order etc.)

Carry out work and assist as required in other areas (e.g. changing locks/lightbulbs)

Advising property occupants of company policies
