The Vacancy:

A national blue-chip organisation has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Security Manager to manage operations at an iconic London site. Reporting to the Account Director, your main purpose as the Security Manager will be to run a team of 70 plus security employees plus 4 managers; ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service and mitigating risks to the firm’s assets, people and reputation through a range of security solutions. As Security Manager you will provide a safe and secure environment for all prestigious corporate clients and visitors alike.

What are they asking for?

As Security Manager it is essential that you have experience of working within the security sector supported with evidence of delivering a senior management operational role. Comfortable & confident in your ability to deal with senior personnel in a challenging environment, your ability to develop incident management plans, security concepts and conduct security risk assessments along with a strong work ethic is essential as are excellent communication skills. Good interpersonal and social skills are also an absolute must as you will be expected to establish and maintain an effective information network including links into the Police, CTSA, CPNI, Nactso, local authority and business stakeholders to obtain credible and relevant security information.

Responsibilities will include:

• Operational Service delivery of Security services across the entire company site

• Leading, managing and developing a large and diverse team of security personnel

• Security risk identification and mitigation through immediate and phased operational planning

• Driving innovation from concept to implementation

• Reviewing/designing site security and health and safety risk assessments, ensuring they are compliant and in-line with the current risk and threat environments

• Provide the Client with timely and credible security information and contextual analysis of the local security situation through incident analysis, reports, flash alerts etc.

• Facilitate and lead security roundtables and workshops

• Working with Key Stakeholders and emergency services to review/design robust and site-specific Counter-Terrorism and Fire Life safety procedures;

• Working closely with the Key Client Stakeholders to align their departmental and suppliers’ activities with security standard conformance

• Assist the Client in developing their own security management capacities by reviewing policy documents, conducting site security surveys and assisting in business continuity and crisis management planning
