Job Description

Our client a leading Security service provider requires an experienced security professional as an on-site Senior Security Manager responsible for all elements of the security contract between the Company and the Customer. Integrated project manager for Company and the client providing organisational and transitional management of the security contract.

Job Purpose:

To run a large team 140+ security employees ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service and mitigating risks to the firm’s assets, people and reputation through a range of security solutions.

To plan, implement and manage the security provision to the client and project manage all moves and changes between buildings.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Contractual compliance in line with the agreed Statement of Works

Ensure that all core and ad hoc requirements are met as required

Ensure that all procedures are in place, including basic instructions through to complex SOPs, in addition to Health & Safety and Compliance requirements.

Employee development to ensure required skill levels for each role, in addition to next level development for personnel

Ensure that every member of the security workforce is trained, vetted and licensed in accordance with the Private Security Industry Act 2001, BS 7499 and BS7858.

Maintain an up-to-date training and qualification matrix to validate the training and security clearance status of each member of staff as required on the contract.

Discharge the reporting responsibilities under the contract including but not limited to the production of periodic KPI reports and performance reports.  Additionally, produce ad hoc reports as required e.g. Incident Reports.

Responsibility for recruitment, payroll and the HR function within the contract including liaison with the HR and Payroll Departments, external recruitment companies and use of the I-time Officer Management System.

Ensure accurate invoicing of all works at the correct rates as set out in the contract

Other day-to-day responsibilities as dictated by circumstances and the needs of the business and the client, such as incident response, management and review.

Manage all augmentation staff on the contract and the interface with their respective clients

To develop subject matter expertise in the new building facility and the associated security delivery in line with the contract.  This will includes but is not limited to:

Develop in-depth knowledge of the new building facility and provide all training and briefing requirements to ensure the delivery of service excellence.

Project management of the transitional security provision to the client.

The development and implementation of security strategy

Development of SOP’s for the new building facility.

 

Strategic Responsibilities:

To operate the contract in profit and within budget.

Exceptional Leadership of the team, ensuring that all personnel on the contract are motivated, focused and fully understand their role and purpose 

Understand the client’s objectives and tailor solutions to meet requirements

Promote a secure and safe working environment through continuous improvement.

Be proactive in seeking security improvements through intelligent manning plans, innovation and the use of technology.

To create and maintain a holistic approach to security.

Carry out regular risk assessments and security reviews.

Support a Security Training Program intended to improve professional standards

Audit of all processes and procedures to ensure compliance and highlight opportunities

 

Qualifications:

Degree qualified preferred but not essential

Security Management qualification preferred but not essential

 

Experiences:

Experience in the private security sector, with evidence of delivering a senior management operational role is essential. 

Candidates must be comfortable dealing with senior personnel in a challenging environment.

Previous experience in project or transitional management would be a strong advantage.

Previous experience in a regulated environment would be an advantage
