The Vacancy:

Due to continued growth, our client – a market leading Fire & Security Systems installer – now have several openings for Trainee Fire Alarm Engineers to join their team.

This position may suit someone who is looking to change career or perhaps a Junior Engineer looking to further their career.

What are they asking for?

You must hold a valid FULL UK drivers’ licence

Whilst any previous electrical experience would certainly be advantageous, it is by no means essential, however, the right attitude is important. Ongoing training and support will be provided to help you develop your knowledge of electrical circuits as well as a range of Fire Detection and associated systems, you will also experience a real variety of working environments such as large, corporate office buildings, football stadiums and shopping centres, one thing is for sure - no two days are ever the same!

Responsibilities will include:

  • Once you have become comfortable with the basics of maintaining fire systems you will then be introduced to other life protection products.

  • To service and maintain fire alarm systems, emergency lighting and fire extinguishers in accordance with the relevant British Standards

  • Work safely and responsibly to avoid injury and damage to property

  • Correctly complete engineer service reports

  • Report deficiencies or deviations in systems

  • Prepare quotations for Small Works and Repairs

  • Participate in the out of hours call out rota

  • Any other duties in line with the post
