Are you a senior sales leader with a proven track record of winning multi-million pound contracts in security services — and ready to step into executive leadership?
Our client, a highly respected and expanding security services provider, is seeking a Sales Director to spearhead major new business wins and contribute directly to the strategic future of the business. With strong internal support (bid writing, marketing, and operational delivery), this role offers a clear pathway to Managing Director Designate.

The Role

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan with a focus on securing at least £1M in new business annually, targeting major national contracts.

  • Take full ownership of the sales function, operating independently but with strong back-office support.

  • Win and lead multi-million-pound security service contracts across manned guarding, crowd management, and rapid deployment solutions.

  • Build long-term strategic relationships with key clients across multiple sectors.

  • Collaborate closely with delivery, bid, and marketing teams to drive sustained growth.

  • Play a key leadership role in the wider business strategy alongside the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and convert multi-million pound new business opportunities.

  • Identify and secure new client relationships in security guarding and related sectors.

  • Represent the company at industry events and on platforms like LinkedIn to build visibility and credibility.

  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and drive opportunities from prospecting to closure.

  • Contribute creatively to social media content and lead the setup of an industry networking group.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven success winning multi-million-pound new security service contracts.

  • Extensive network within the security industry and related sectors (FM, events, construction).

  • Highly autonomous, proactive, and able to create and deliver strategic sales plans.

  • Exceptional communicator, able to confidently engage C-suite stakeholders and lead high-value negotiations.

  • Previous leadership experience or strong readiness to step into an MD Designate role.

  • Technologically adept – comfortable with CRM systems, social selling, and leveraging LinkedIn for growth.
