Job Description

A leading supplier of facilities management is now looking for a Commercial Co-Ordinator (Pricing Executive) to join their Pricing management team.  You will need experience of working in a facilities/ building/engineering environment tender and must be able to work to tight deadlines and prove a desire to develop a career within Pricing or Bid Management.

 

Remote working but must be able to travel

 

Your primary objective will be supporting the Commercial Manager with the costing of mechanical + electrical maintenance tender opportunities whilst taking responsibility for small tenders including liaising with operational teams and specialist supply chain partners.  The role can be remote working but you will need to travel to site visits, tender meetings, and client presentations

 

You will help with the completion and submission of quotations and tender/bid opportunities. This role could suit a recent graduate or someone currently working in a bid-co-ordination or pricing role.  Other successful candidates have worked in coordination/administration roles within finance/property/building/ maintenance/ or engineering environments

 

The commercial team is critical to delivering the on-going success of the company and this role will achieve a high profile in the business and with it the potential to move into more senior pricing, commercial and bid positions across the rest of the company.

What are they asking for?

A good knowledge of Excel is needed to the level of “SUMS” “LINKING” and “FORMULAS”

along with the ability to manage self and process to strict deadlines

 

Equally important is the ability to liaise with colleagues and third party contractors to ensure the correct assumptions and costings are made for competitive pricing.

 

It’s a given that you are confident with numbers, detail orientated and happy to learn new skills whilst supporting a busy Commercial Manager and Bid team

 

Responsibilities will include;

  • Review ITT documentation, to ensure full understanding of the contract requirements
  • Attend start off meetings for new opportunities
  • Labour loading of assets in accordance with SFG20 / client specifications
  • Undertake site visits to establish and verify asset details,
  • Contacting specialist sub-contractors for quotations
  • Prepare costing sheet for review
  • Complete Forms of Tender and submit qualifications to be included within the final submission.

 

  • Liaise with Supply Chain to ensure best value is achieved.
